
David McGillivray is a designer and creative director based in upstate New York. After moving from England to work in-house at tech startups, he’s since spent the past decade running his own design practice, partnering with emerging tech brands on go-to-market creative. He also co-founded Offhours, and owns Corners, an art & design store in the Catskills.
Jacob Heftmann is a surfer and self-taught graphic designer also experimenting in type design, programming, and photography. Based in Los Angeles, he is currently the Design Director at Grilli Type. He got his first design job at age 27 and, after burning out from agency and in-house experience, co-founded the widely recognized design studio XXIX, and Index network in New York City. He has taught in the undergraduate and graduate programs at Parsons School of Design, is a visiting professor at HBKSaar, and gives talks and workshops throughout the year. In addition, he consults with design teams to build healthier and more effective creative practices.
